■ Filos Corp 40 Minutes Oxygen Supply Mask 'Focused' on public institutions

KONEPS, Korea ON-line E-Procurement System Expo was held on 13th April , 2022 at KINTEX in Ilsan. There was a booth that attracted the attention of visitors.

KONEPS is a place where the Public Procurement Service introduces excellent products from innovative, youth, and venture companies. Unlike previous years, when the scale was reduced due to COVID-19, it was held as the largest ever.

At the KONEPS Expo, it was a company that received "Spotlight" for three years and had not even dried up its "Startup" ink. Filos Corp (CHEOLSEUNG KIM/CEO), headquartered in Hanshin S mecca, Gwanpyeong-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon.

The first gateway that many companies must pass after developing new products is the Public Procurement Service. The news itself was that FILOS (Fire Industry Life Ocean Safety) broke through the difficult gate.

More attention was drawn to the certification of industrial oxygen supply "innovative products" received in 2021 based on patents, not just registration of procured products.

I was curious about CHEOLSEUNG KIM CEO, who threw his hat into A+A, the world's largest, following the response to the Korea ON-line E-Procurement System Marketplace. When he asked CHEOLSEUNG KIM the first question, "What is innovation?" when he met with the Safe Times on the 21st, he began to explain the "suffocation disaster."

◇ A simple idea was born as an innovative product of suffocation disaster 'shield'

Filos products started with a simple idea. With the emergence of ultrafine dust issues, mask wearing has increased. But I felt stuffy when I put it on. The idea that "If oxygen comes out of the mask, wouldn't you be able to breathe smoothly" became the starting point for product development.

"A suffocation disaster refers to a condition in which breathing is impossible normally due to a lack of oxygen supply. If oxygen supply is not resumed, you will become conscious of oxygen deprivation and die of brain damage."

Suffocation disasters at industrial and fire sites are said to be at a serious.

CEO CHEOLSEUNG KIM said, "53.2% of the suffocated victims in confined spaces are dead," and explained, "One out of two oxygen deficiencies died at industrial sites."

Suffocation at the scene of a fire is a more serious formula. More than 60% of suffocation is caused by smoke toxic gases.

Experts do not disagree that a single inhalation of toxic gas can lead to loss of consciousness and sense of direction and death in an instant.

Oxygen deficiency can be felt from an oxygen concentration of 12%. From this point on, you feel dizzy, vomit, and lose muscle strength, and you fall because you cannot support your weight.

If the oxygen concentration is less than 8%, you can fainting and die in 7-8 minutes. If it falls to the 6% level, it will be impossible to withstand more than 6 minutes.

Experts view the "safety limit level" as an oxygen concentration of 18%. Filos completed a system that maintains the "safety limit of 18%" and has been certified as an innovative product.

Starting with an analysis of the product to see how oxygen is supplied, a 40-minute oxygen supply mask was developed.

He said, "The new concept of BREATHEIN oxygen supply mask can be used at industrial sites with an oxygen concentration of 18% or higher and during fire evacuations."

CEO CHEOLSEUNG KIM said, "The upcoming product has a gauge attached to tell the remaining amount of oxygen," adding, "We plan to launch scuba diving for 20 to 25 minutes for leisure underwater."

◇ With the official certification of disaster safety products by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, 'Wings are sweet'

"Special" safety products to prevent disasters and accidents that may occur in real-world sites such as fire fighting, industry, and the ocean. The Ministry of Public Administration and Security officially certified it as a "disaster safety product" in June.

This is due to the effect of attaching an oxygen supply system that can supply oxygen for 40 minutes to the existing fire escape mask in the event of a fire, helping the wearer breathe and helping more effective evacuation.

The "regulator" that provides constant oxygen is the core technology that has been patented by Filos. "By combining regulators between co㎜only used industrial mask filters and masks, the oxygen supply system can be operated in case of emergency during work," CEO CHEOLSEUNG KIM said. "It is also possible to use the regulator in compatibility with existing products."

Filos Corp is releasing three versions of oxygen supply mask industrial (Full face, Half face) and fire escape mask.

In the event of an emergency at an industrial site, oxygen can be supplied stably for up to 40 minutes by only turning the oxygen can valve.
