KEB Hana Bank and 119Safety Foundation signed an MOU for the ‘119Lifeline Service’ – Launching Credit cards, Savings, Passbooks - New Financial Products Package
On December 11th, KEB Hana Bank and 119Safety Foundation signed an MOU for ‘119Lifeline Service’ at the KEB Hana Bank’s main Uljiro Branch in Seoul that will provide financial services which will add safety protection for the nation..
KEB Hana Bank plans to launch a financial product package where the ‘119 lifeline number, an emergency assistance service when 119 is called for immediate response, to be printed on the credit cards (including debit cards), Savings and Checking Passbooks, etc. to protect the family’s life and to maintain safety through this collaboration.
Those who apply for this financial product package will be issued credit cards or passbooks on which a “119 lifeline number” printed, as well as be provided various benefits such as preferential interest discounts and waiver of fees, etc.
"119 Lifeline’ is an 8-digit serial number assigned to the pre-registrant with a personal profile, identifying the registrant’s illnesses, medications, and emergency contact numbers, etc. when 119 is called. In addition, when '119 Lifeline’ service is used, in case of a sudden emergency situation that occurs without notice, the registrant’s medical history is provided to the 119 medical personnel, and text messages are sent to the pre-registered emergency contacts so that the emergency can be dealt with more appropriately.
In particular, KEB Hana Bank plans not only to contribute toward the public safety by wide distribution of ‘119 lifelines’ but also to make donations to 119 Safety Foundation by setting aside a certain amount from its financial products package subscriptions. The donations will be used to support the safety of the people and the Fire Fighters, etc.
