18,282 units of Ionic Electric which were manufactured and sold by Hyundai Motor will be recalled due to functional safety mode software design errors. It has been confirmed that there may be a possibility of an accident by an intermittent delay in acceleration or increasing speed of a vehicle when the accelerator pedal is released during the safe mode is activated. 17,406 units of Mighty will be recalled due to poor brake hose assembly. When the car is driven with poor brake hose assembly, shock absorber, which improves rideability by extinguishing shaking caused by road surface bending damages the hose by friction. Ionic Electric will be repaired with no charge from the 7th and Mighty from the 9th at Hyundai Motor's direct service center and Blue Hands.
10,608 units of Bolt electric vehicles imported and sold by GM Korea were found to have a possibility of fire. Vehicle can be caught on fire when two extremely low manufacturing defects happen at the same time in high-voltage battery cells,
These vehicles will also be repaired free at GM Korea's official service center from the 3rd of December. Considering risks and supply and demand of parts, high-voltage batteries will be replaced sequentially.
